Benefit of this new feature in version 2026: More data representation possibilities SEGMENTED BUTTON CONTROL IN WEBDEV 555 N e w f e a t u r e W D W B WM THE SEGMENTED BUTTON CONTROL IS AVAILABLE IN WEBDEV The Segmented Button control introduced in WINDEV version 2025 is now available in WEBDEV. As a reminder, a Segmented Button control groups a series of ON/ OFF buttons together within the same control. This type of control is visually appealing and intuitive for end users: • single or multiple selection, • text or image for each option. The associated code has also been simplified, making integration faster and more intuitive. Benefit of this new feature in version 2026: Modern and intuitive control for web users 556 N e w f e a t u r e W D W B WM SEGMENTED BUTTON CONTROL: FUNCTIONALITIES The Segmented Button control offers a wide range of configurable parameters, including: • Number of segments (or boxes) • Content of each segment (box): text or image • Single or multiple selection mode • Anchoring and automatic width adjustment • Optional separator between segments • Separator style (lines, margins, etc.) • Customizable borders for the control and for individual buttons You can transform a Check Box control into a multi-selection Segmented Button control, or a Radio Button control into a single- selection Segmented Button control. Benefit of this new feature in version 2026: One control, many possibilities 557 N e w f e a t u r e W D W B WM PROGRAMMING One of the advantages of a Segmented Button control is that its programming is much simpler compared to a set of standard Radio Button or Check Box controls. Here are some of the operations available in the code: • get the state of a segment (checked/unchecked), • gray out or hide a segment individually, • dynamically modify the text of a segment or tooltip, • add segments at runtime, • easily manage multilingual labels.
